Alberto la Manana

Meet Alberto La Manana (pronounced "Man-yan'-uh"), affectionately known as Alberto, or just "Berto". He is a 10 year old, 14.1 hh solid bay registered Paso Fino gelding owned by Janet Grant of Palgrave, Ontario. Alberto resides at Forest Gait Farm in Georgetown, Ontario with his other Paso Fino friends. Janet and Alberto love to trail ride through the many beautiful acres of the Greater Toronto Area greenbelt. Alberto also competed in his first show this summer and took home a fifth place ribbon in the Paso Fino Novice Pleasure class.

Alberto was imported to Canada from Kentucky 6 years ago and purchased by Janet in January of 2005. He is an amazing trail horse, one of the quickest and most surefooted you will find, and has accumulated over 1,400 trail hours all across North America. He is usually ridden with a bitless bridle, but sometimes rides with a Columbian bit.

His favourite treats are apples and carrots, and his dislikes are horse shows and being around a lot of other strange horses.
