Dually

"Dually" is a 15.3 hh purebred, registered Appaloosa gelding, born April 24th 2002 in Lumsden, Saskatchewan. Christa, his present owner, picked him out of a pasture of beautiful 2 & 3 year olds that Judy Farr of Sincuidados Equestrian Center had bred. He stood out from the other horses, independent, yet very aware and curious of his surroundings. After watching him for a week and interacting with the colt, Christa was totally in love with his dynamic personality. She made her final decision to purchase Dually - Christa and Judy broke the colt together that summer.

Dually was trained western at 2 years of age and spent his first summer learning the basics of rounding up cattle and roping calves for branding. Dually passed the winter learning how to jump. He kept growing and growing, had a beautiful long tail for an appy and looked really cute under English tack.

Dually and his owner moved to Ontario in the fall of 2005. They showed on the Trillium circuit for the first time last summer where "Wapella" (his show name) proved to be quite a handsome hunter. They are spending the winter in Chesterville (outside of Ottawa) where they will be keeping fit in hopes of competing on the Trillium circuit and bringing home some hardware this summer.

Congratulations to Dually for being our December 25th, 2006 Horse of the Week!

We are pleased to have this gorgeous Appaloosa model for our 2006 Christmas card. Thank you Dually and Christa!

Seasons Greetings to all and have a wonderful New Year from Leslie and Janet at MyHorse.ca.
