Sequoia

A flashy Thoroughbred/Appaloosa mare named Sequoia is one of the fastest horses you will see competing in the North River Riders Western Games competition. Owned by Lindsay Lloyd of Orillia, Ontario, this 5 year old, 15.2 hh athlete lives at Ringmore Farm. Some of her nicknames are Pepper, Snowflake, Freckles and Spotted Horse. This is what Lindsay had to say about her mare:

horse"We enjoy competing in the Western Games at the local shows in and around Orillia. Last year was our first show season together and we placed Reserve in the "Adult Down and Back" and the "Adult Flag Race". The flag race is our favourite event. That was a great accomplishment and we are looking forward to a new season.

We are trying out for the Drill Team put on by the North River Riders. We also attend the Orillia parades, Diabetes rides, and enjoy trail riding when we are not competing. Sequoia is a great horse around the barn and a pleasure to ride."

Congratulations to Sequoia for being our March 10th, 2008 Horse of the Week!
